Following declaration of results last week, 80% second-year LLB students from Siddharth College found they had failed the third semester.

Some have now sent individual complaints to Mumbai University’s students’ grievance cell. One states only 50 of 240 students cleared the exams.

The rest have failed in more than one subject. “I got less than 35 marks in all the four subjects when you need a minimum of 45% to clear. The assessment is unfair and unacceptable,” the student has stated. Arun Kedia has cleared all the subjects, but alleges the college may be biased in its assessment as second-year students had approached MU earlier seeking refund of excess fees. Principal, K Sudhakar Reddy, was unavailable for comment.
