The Kapil Sharma Show has been in headlines for a while now, especially after its judge Navjot Singh Sidhu was embroiled in a controversy over Pulwama attack.
Soon, he was replaced by Archana Puran Singh as the new judge on TKSS.
But looks like the veteran actress’ stint on TKSS was short lived as she has, reportedly, quit Kapil’s show.
The news of Archana’s exit from TKSSsurfaced after the promo of the upcoming episode of the show was unveiled. This weekend, TKSS will witness a historic moment as 1983’s World Cup winning team will grace the show.
As the audience is excited about the show, Archana’s absence caught everyone’s fancy. In fact, she was replaced by spinner Harbhajan Singh as the judge.
Although an official confirmation about Archana’s exit is still awaited, gossip mills are abuzz that she was a temporary replacement for Sidhu. Reportedly, Archana was roped in only for 20 episodes. In fact, she was paid just Rs. 2cr for her entire stint on TKSS. Notably, this is way less than what Sidhu was paid for TKSS which was around Rs. 25cr per season.
Meanwhile, there are reports that producer Salman Khan is planning to bring back Navjot Singh Sidhu on the show. According to a report published in Dainik Bhaskar, despite his termination from TKSS, Sony TV hasn’t ended its contract with Sidhu. In fact, it also suggested that Salman is keen to have Sidhu back on the show and is waiting for the controversy to subside.
