After the tragic incident of 26/11 Mumbai Attacks, the Mumbai Police is now equipped with a whole new team named ‘Quick Response Team’. Tiger Zinda Hai director Ali Abbas Zafar, who is currently busy with his upcoming film Bharat, tweeted a video earlier today, in which Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan, introduces Mumbai’s finest.
In the video, we learn that post the 26/11 terror attack, in led Mumbai to burn, the Mumbai Police has formed a quick response team – equivalent to the SWAT team in the US. These super cops have been equipped with the high-tech weapons, bullet-proof vests and armour, night vision goggles and much more.
“This is Mumbai Police’s Quick Response Team. This team has been formed post the events of 26/11 with the focus that these officers will, in quick time and effectively deal with such an attack. These officers have been trained by the country best combat trainers and also by combat trainers from abroad. They have been equipped with the latest technological weapons and armour to keep Mumbai and its residents safe and secure,” – Amitabh Bachchan says in the video.
The events of 26/11 were truly shocking. For three days, the Taj hotel in Mumbai was on fire and the government and law enforcement were completely unprepared for an attack like this. Several people lost their lives, on the streets, train stations and in other areas of the coast city. However, this new task force, at least according to the video, will surely make Mumbaikars feel safe.
