The Indian Premier League has announced it’s fixtures for the first two weeks of the tournament. The league is set to flag off on March 23. The first clash will be played between Chennai Super Kings and Royal Challengers Bangalore in Chennai.

The team are set to 4 matches each in the first two weeks of the tournament with Delhi Capitals and Royal Challengers Bangalore playing 5 matches. Each team is set to play two home and two away matches in the starting leg of the tournament with exception to DC & RCB.

The further schedule will be released when the government announces the dates for the upcoming Loksabha elections. As the Election dates are still to be announced IPL governing body is facing a lash for the so. Also thiss year the tournament is facing clashes with the ICC Cricket World Cup which is set to begin from May 30 in England. As by the instructions by the panel, there should be a 15 day gap between the IPL and the ICC World Cup.

Earlier BCCI has held IPL outside India for two years due to the Loksabha Elections. The venues that were selected in that time were South Africa and Dubai. This year, the tournament is said to happen in India adjusting the election time.
