The race of placements were again in the round for the year in the Indian Institute Of Technology (IIT) Bombay. The average package of the IIT Bombay’s management school’s package increased by Rs. 20 Lakh per year for the 2019 batch. Last years average package for the Shailesh J Mehta School of Management was around 19 Lakh. The highest salary though remained unchanged at Rs.32.4 Lakh.
This year there were around a batch of 107 students for which there were 112 posts offered by 38 firms for the final round of placements. In addition to the regular recruiters, the management school witnessed some new recruiters as well such as OYO, HSBC, Tata Global Beverages, etc.
The top 20% students had an average of Rs 25.2 lakh, and top 50% Rs 22.6 lakh. This year, most students got a package of over Rs 20 lakh. Google, P&G and other industry biggies, too, offered some plum roles.
