There has been a long talks weather the 12th edition of The Indian Premier League (IPL) will be played in India or be taken abroad  due to the elections that will take place across the country. Also it has been stated that it may flag off from March 23 which is earlier than usual.

The two-member COA, comprising Chairman Vinod Rai and former women’s captain Diana Edulji, met on Tuesday to discuss the venues and the window for the league. “Based on the preliminary discussions with the appropriate central and state agencies/authorities, it was decided that the 12th edition of the world’s most popular and competitive T20 tournament will be scheduled to be played in India,” a statement issued by the BCCI read.”It is proposed that the IPL 2019 will commence on March 23, 2019. The detailed schedule will be finalised in consultation with the appropriate authorities,” it added.

It has been a long talk over discussing the venue where the 12th edition of the biggest league in the world will be held. The election season will be arriving by that time and also the world cup is being scheduled from 30th May which clashes with the IPL usual schedule. It’s been the reason why IPL is scheduled early and will get over keeping a grace period for the players between the IPL and the world cup.

This season of The Indian Premier League is expected to be better and bigger from all the previous seasons. The fans are eagerly waiting to experience another exciting cricketing bomb with the commencement of IPL.
